At MADSKY we connect homeowners, trusted contractors, and insurance carriers for a truly efficient claim management. We are proud to use an innovative process to restore storm-damaged homes across the country quickly and efficiently, like never before.

Founded in 2015 by top construction and logistics experts, MADSKY was created to put order in this disjointed process. Using innovation, technology and a whole lot of industry experience, MADSKY has eliminated uncomfortable sales tactics, enhanced quality control, reduced the time to complete jobs, and instilled confidence in the sustainability of repairs after the storm.

MADSKY has created a new standard of service: a better experience for homeowners and an easier process for contractors and carriers.

Senior Leadership

Hunter Powell

Hunter Powell, CEO

Before joining MADSKY, Powell was a Principal at BW Forsyth Partners, where he was responsible for assessing new platform and add-on acquisitions, and leading key strategic initiatives for Cor Partners. His focus there was to develop organic and acquisition growth strategies and execute strategic initiatives which ultimately resulted in ~600% revenue growth since 2011. 

Prior to this role, Powell worked for Cherokee Investment Partners, a Raleigh, NC-based private equity fund with more than $2.0 billion under management. Hunter earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, and his M.B.A. from the Olin Business School at Washington University.

Jennifer Hevelone, Chief Claims Officer

Jennifer Hevelone, Chief Claims Officer

Jennifer Hevelone leads the company’s inspection and estimating strategy and drives continuous improvement and innovation into the firm’s virtual inspection process.

Hevelone has 25+ years of experience in the insurance and claims management areas. She has served a multitude of roles ranging from adjuster, field manager and trainer, to various leadership positions, including Chief Operating Officer for a large, nationwide independent adjusting firm. She has also led customer success teams in the insurtech space.

Hevelone holds the Associate in General Insurance (AINS), Associate in National Flood Insurance (ANFI), Associate in Claims (AIC), and Associate in Claims-Management (AIC-M) designations as well as various state adjuster licenses and carrier specific certifications.

Joe Kislo, CTO

Joe Kislo, Chief Technology Officer

Joe Kislo is a technology leader who has innovated carrier-focused solutions for the Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining MADSKY, Kislo led the technology charge at Athenium Inc. before taking over as President and CEO. Under Kislo’s leadership, Athenium developed its flagship product TEAMThink -- the market leading P&C Insurance quality assurance platform. Using customizable rules and analytics engines it supported carriers from small to the largest multinationals measure key performance indicators, perform root cause analysis and drive organizational improvement.

Kislo holds a Computer Science degree with honors from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Julie Wynn, Senior Vice President of Operations

Julie Wynn is the Senior Vice President of Operations and leads process and technology improvement initiatives to help MADSKY achieve performance goals, comply with regulations and streamline operations to promote organizational efficiency.  Wynn joined MADSKY in 2016 and developed the technology strategy and created MADSKY’s Frictionless Customer Experience platform.

Julie grew up in the roofing industry and possesses a great passion to support local and reputable contractors with expanding their book of business while providing an excellent customer experience to both policyholders and insurance carrier partners.

Jeff is the Senior Vice President of Network Operations at MADSKY. His 25+ years in the roofing industry and skill set that includes operations, project management, and product development makes him a valuable member of the MADSKY leadership team. 

TJ Johnson

Trenton “TJ” Johnson, Vice President of Finance and Accounting

Trenton Johnson is the Vice President of Financing and Accounting and is responsible for the implementation of strong policies, procedures, and cost containment. Johnson joined MADSKY in 2016 and has 10 plus years in the accounting and finance industry and has extensive experience as an active manager.

Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting from Loyola University.
