Senior Leadership

Hunter Powell

Hunter Powell, CEO

Before joining MADSKY, Powell was a Principal at BW Forsyth Partners, where he was responsible for assessing new platform and add-on acquisitions, and leading key strategic initiatives for Cor Partners. His focus there was to develop organic and acquisition growth strategies and execute strategic initiatives which ultimately resulted in ~600% revenue growth since 2011. 

Prior to this role, Powell worked for Cherokee Investment Partners, a Raleigh, NC-based private equity fund with more than $2.0 billion under management. Hunter earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, and his M.B.A. from the Olin Business School at Washington University.


Rich Plass, President

Rich Plass is president of MADSKY and responsible for the operation of the company.

Plass has more than 20 years of proven results that transform organizations. As a  business leader, he brings a record of success spanning multiple Fortune 50 companies and private business, with deep expertise in operations, revenue growth, integration and orchestrating fast and impactful organizational turnarounds.

Plass earned his Bachelor of Computer Science from Southeast Missouri State University.

Andrew Hardesty, Senior Vice President of Product & Strategy

Andrew Hardesty is the Sr. Vice President of Product and Strategy responsible for developing the long-term product strategy of MADSKY’s core products, executing strategic initiatives, and supporting the firm’s comprehensive outbound marketing strategy of its products and network.

Hardesty has a 20-year diverse background in Technology, Marketing, Operations, and Corporate Development. Prior to MADSKY, Andrew held several leadership positions at large private and Fortune 25 organizations with a focus on designing and executing a wide variety of creative business solutions to scale the enterprise for growth.

Hardesty earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southeast Missouri State University and his M.B.A. from the John Cool School of Business at Saint Louis University.


LC Nussbeck, Strategic Advisor

Whether he is sitting on a roof or at the top of a mountain, height has never been an issue. LC Nussbeck is an ingenious entrepreneur devoted to transforming property claims. An accomplished and devoted roofing professional with more than 25 years of experience, LC methodically crafted a new successful service for insurance companies that will enable delivery of a predictable claims experience. 


Trenton “TJ” Johnson, Vice President of Finance and Accounting

Trenton Johnson is the vice president of financing and accounting and is responsible for the implementation of strong policies, procedures, and cost containment.

Johnson joined MADSKY in 2016 and has 10 plus years in the accounting and finance industry and has extensive experience as an active manager.

Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting from Loyola University.

Jeff Turano, VP of Production

Jeff is the Vice President of Strategy at MADSKY. His 25 plus years in the roofing industry and skill set that includes operations, project management, and product development makes him a valuable member of the MADSKY leadership team. 


Russ Williams, Senior Vice President of Network Development

Russ Williams is the Senior Vice President of Network Development and leads MADSKY’s contractor and supplier network.

In his most recent engagement Williams led the national development of Motili’s Single Family Residential network. Motili offers HVAC inspection, repair and replacement services and Williams led the buildout of the firm’s SFR national sales team working side by side with its contractor network.  Furthermore, Williams comes with other relevant channel experience given his time at where he worked intimately with property restoration stakeholders in the foreclosure, REO and rental property spaces.


Julie Wynn, Senior Vice President of Operations

Julie Wynn is the senior vice president of operations and leads process and technology improvement initiatives to help MADSKY achieve performance goals, comply with regulations and streamline operations to decrease cost and promote organizational efficiency.  Wynn joined MADSKY in 2016 and developed the technology strategy and created MADSKY’s Frictionless Customer Experience platform.

Prior to MADSKY, Wynn worked as a manager within operations at a multi-million-dollar corporation. Julie grew up in the roofing industry and possesses a great passion to support local and reputable contractors with expanding their book of business while providing an excellent customer experience to both policyholders and insurance carrier partners.

Wynn holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from University of Missouri-Kansas City.
