“I’ve always lived in southwest Missouri. I’ve been married to my husband, Todd for twenty five years and we have three children: Hunter’s twenty two, Peyton is nineteen, and Ashlyn is twelve.
I’m an Air Force mom. My middle child, my nineteen-year-old, is in the Air Force, stationed in Tucson, Arizona. It’s not something I thought I wanted him to do, but, you can’t hold them back from their dreams. I miss him like crazy, but I’m glad he’s serving our country and he’s loving it.
I am an avid ball mom, always at the ball field. My husband and I volunteer — we are the directors of our city softball league for girls. So, I have about two hundred girls that I take care of during the summertime.
I started out at MADSKY as a dispatcher. I have now worked my way up to Senior Customer Service Agent. I try to help out the best I can with the team, and I absolutely love what I do.
I love helping people
I love helping people, that’s one of my favorite things to do. I feel that building a relationship with the customers is very important because we are their first contact with MADSKY, so the impression that we make on them, it seems to last.
You are that person that explains everything to customers and makes them feel comfortable with the process. So we’re mainly the front line.
It’s so rewarding to help people. This is my drive, this is what I do, it’s what I’m best at.
I’ve worked in different fields
I’ve worked in different fields: I’ve sold real estate, I’ve had my property and casualty license, life insurance license, pre-need agent license, we’ve owned a stainless steel business, and a gift shop. So, you had to be a people person.
My previous job was at the funeral home. I did everything there, but a lot of it was helping families. Just being there for them in that time of need is very rewarding.
Helping people — it’s either a way of life or it’s not. I’ve done so many things in my life and I am excited to get up and come to work. I love the people that I work with. The growth, the opportunity, everything about MADSKY is amazing.
I’ve been called the mom of many
Throughout the years, I’ve helped raise my three nieces and my nephew, my son’s best friend — he lived with us during his high school years, and my husband’s cousin who lived with us through high school as well. So, we helped raise six kids that weren’t ours. And I would take in anybody. I’ve been called the mom of many. I love all children.”
